So my sister and I like to go down to the Fashion District in LA and shop. In the fashion district they sell everything fashion related: shoes, jewelry, purses, clothes, luggage and perfume. My sister and I back in the day got our prom dresses down there because we knew there would be a large selection and we wouldn't show up to prom with the same dress as all the other girls.
So this trip was to mainly get purses and jewelry (although we didn't buy any jewelry this time). There is a certain area in the Fashion District known for good replicas which is Santee Alley. They carry replica purses all over the Fashion District but they are much better quality in the Alley.
I had no intentions of buying anything myself I was just along for the ride since I have too much stuff as it is. However, I did find a two things. The first was a replica Louis Vuitton.
I like it because it was a little bit different. Everyone has real or fake Louis Vuitton but they usually seem to be in the white or brown family so I like that this was black and not quite as flashy, although I realize it still is.
I paid 45 dollars for it which is more then they used to be back in the day but if you think about it if you pay for a regular no name brand at a store assuming it isn't Forever 21 or another inexpensive store then 45 is average. I go through purses like crazy so I just can't imagine spending the money for a real one when I am over them in a month and on top of the fact that everyone has one real or fake so when I'm out and about no one would know the difference unless they stop and inspect it.
My other purchase was from a small store a few blocks from Santee Alley that we walked past from the parking lot.
I talked her down to 30 dollars, which I still think for being downtown LA and a no name brand is a bit much. I really liked it and I knew I would think about it once I got home if I didn't buy it just cause it was a bit more then I liked and after driving an hour there and back.
I was hoping it had a wristlet attachment which it didn't but the lady said I could just go to the fabric store and get some chain and make it a wristlet. I'm pretty lazy so I knew that wasn't going to happen. So I doubled the chain that came with the purse to make it shorter.
Lastly my friend Jaclyn went to the Phillipines and brought me back the purse below.
She knows me so well! It is one of the best gifts I have ever recieved from someone who went on vacation or a gift in general. I love how it is a present I can actually use as opposed to a gift that will never leave my cabinet.
